Your patron is a Psychopomp: One of the many spiritual beings devoted to ferrying souls from place to place, ensuring that they arrive at their proper resting place. However, a psychopomp cannot cause death: they are vultures, arriving at the moment of death to take the soul away and bring it to their domain of choice. They require someone else to do the killing.
That's where you come in.
Potential common Psychopomps to make a pact with may include Charon, ferryman of The Styx, Hermes, god of travel and deliverer of souls, or The Grim Reaper, embodiment of death and harvester of the dead.
Subclass Features
As a Warlock of the Psychopomp, you gain the following features.
1 Demands
The Psychopomp has an agenda in the world, and you are a small piece of it. To be worthy of your patron's power, you must honor their demands.
Honour the Dead: Do not speak ill of those who are no longer living, for they cannot hear you and will not defend themselves.
Honour the Deceased: Whenever a being dies by your or an ally's hand, give them a proper burial.
Honour Death: Under no circumstances may you resurrect the dead or assist in any form of resurrection of the dead. Death is final, and those who defy this are the worst kind of heretic.
