Weavers of lust and stranglers of hearts, the temptress keeps their friends close and their enemies wrapped around their finger. Once they get their eyes on a victim, no one is safe from their web of lies. THIS IS A WIP DRAFT

Subclass Features

As a Temptress, you gain the following features.

1 Exploits

Add the following four exploits to your list of exploit options: Lead, Predict, Silver Tongue, (EXPLOIT).

Lead

You make a convincing point for why a certain ally is the biggest threat to them. As a bonus action, you can target a hostile creature and yourself or a friendly creature. The hostile creature must make a wisdom save or gain disadvantage on attack rolls against all creatures aside from the friendly creature you specified. Both targets must be within 10 feet of you when you use this exploit.

Greater Lead: Starting at 5th level, the range of this exploit increases to 20 feet.

Superior Lead: Starting at 9th level, the range of this exploit increases to 30 feet.

Predict

You have a knack for noticing the little things people pay attention to. As a bonus action, you can observe a creature within 30 feet of you, forcing them to make a charisma save. On a failure, you learn the what the target plans to do with their next action, and who they plan to target with said action. If they change their plans as a result of your or your teammates actions, the GM must tell you that your target's plan has changed.

The gm may answer with any of the following types of actions:

  • Attack
  • Cast a Spell
  • Monster Feature
  • Dash
  • Disengage
  • Dodge
  • Grapple/shove

Greater Predict: Starting at 5th level, you also learn if they plan to make a melee attack, ranged attack, or force a saving throw.

Superior Predict: Starting at 9th level, you also learn.

Silver Tongue

When you make an ability check and use Deception or Persuasion, you can roll 1d6 and add it to the result. You can wait until after you roll your check before deciding to use this exploit, but you must decide before the GM says whether your check succeeds or fails.

Greater Silver Tongue: Starting at 5th level, Your bonus increases from 1d6 to 1d8.

Superior Silver Tongue: Starting at 9th level, Your bonus increases from 1d8 to 1d10.

(EXPLOIT)

Greater (EXPLOIT): Starting at 5th level, .

Superior (EXPLOIT): Starting at 9th level, .

1Temptation

When you spend a minute conversing with a creature that is not hostile to you, you can force them to make a wisdom saving throw against your exploit save DC. On a failure, they tell you a goal they have, and if you do something that brings them closer to that goal within the next minute, they become charmed by you for 24 hours.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, regaining expended uses on a long rest.

3Heart to Heart

You're an expert in getting people to open up about their feelings. Over the course of a short rest, you can ask a friendly creature to tell you what's bothering them. If they answer honestly, they gain inspiration and become charmed by you.

  • For Player characters, they may choose whether to open up
  • For NPCs, if they're hesitant to tell you, you may need to make a persuasion check.

You can only use this ability once per short rest.

3Betrayal

You have advantage on attack rolls against creatures that are charmed by you. When you use your sneak attack against a creature that has been charmed by you, your Sneak Attack deals psychic damage, and your sneak attack damage dice are doubled.

When you use this ability, the target becomes hostile to you, and you cannot charm the same creature again for 24 hours.
